Marketing and Business Administrator

20 to 25 hours a week – Hybrid/Remote (1 session a week in the Studio in Torquay)

£16 per hour/£16,640 per annum (Full time salary £31,200 per annum)

(possible commission incentive scheme for the right candidate)

 

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Marketing and Business Administrator to play a pivotal role in promoting Becky Bettesworth’s art and business operations.

You will be a creative thinker with strong organisational skills, proven sales and marketing experience and a strong business acumen to contribute to the Studio’s success by attracting new customers and trade business, coordinating marketing efforts and optimising internal processes.

Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy:

  •  Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance the Studio’s visibility and attract new clients.
  • Utilise digital marketing channels (social media, email campaigns, website content) to engage our target audience.
  • Collaborate with Becky, third parties and management to create compelling promotional materials such as brochures, flyers and online content.
  • Monitor marketing performance metrics and adjust strategies accordingly to maximise effectiveness.
  • Negotiate licence agreements for artwork to be used by interested third parties.

 Client Relations:

  •  Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing enquiries, scheduling appointments ad providing exceptional customer service.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with existing clients and explore opportunities for upselling services or promoting new offerings.
  • Gather feedback from clients to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance their experience.

 Administrative Duties:

  •  Daily management of email enquiries and communications.
  • Manage administrative tasks such as maintaining records, managing inventory and handling financial transactions.
  • Coordinate scheduling of events hosted by the Studio.
  • Assist with the recruitment and training of staff members as needed, ensuring that they adhere to Studio policies and standards.

 Business Development:

  •  Identify potential partnership opportunities with local businesses, galleries and organisations to expand the Studio’s reach and client base.
  • Stay informed about the business trends and look for emerging opportunities that can shape strategic decision making.
  • Collaborate with management to develop pricing strategies, packages and promotions to drive sales and revenue growth.

 Operational Support:

  •  Ensure the Studio maintains a clean, organised and welcoming environment for clients and staff.
  • Oversee the procurement of necessary supplies and equipment, managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts when necessary.
  • Any other duties that may be required by the business.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • A proven track record of Marketing and Business Administration preferable in a sales and marketing environment .
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g. social media management, email marketing and analytics).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) for graphic design tasks.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 365.
  • Proficient in using Photoshop.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and prioritise responsibilities effectively.
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures and office management systems.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for the arts and a customer centric mindset.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Good sense of humour and a positive mindset.
